What’s billed as a “Milk Moustache Mobile” will be rolling through Iowa thissummer as part of an effort to spread the word about the health benefits ofmilk. Kent Lehs is spokesman for the Midland Dairy Association and says the”Cruise for Calcium” brings an important message to Iowa.Lehs says people will be able to get all sorts of scientific information onnutrition when visiting the big white truck. He says they’ll also be offeredfree blood pressure tests and bone density tests.Lehs says about one-third of the U-S population is at risk of developingosteoporosis, the crumbling of bones due to a lack of calcium. He says manypeople don’t realize that we can only build up our bones during the first 20years or so.The Milk Moustache Mobile is scheduled to stop in at least 100 U-S citiesduring its tour. Cities on the docket in Iowa include Dubuque in July andDes Moines in August.
