Not many people get the chance to make a space flight, but an Iowa amusementpark plans to offer a ride that simulates rocket flight. Adventureland Parkin Altoona is unveiling a new ride called “Space Shot” this year. SpokesmanRyan Sullivan says the ride launches riders up a 235-foot-tall tower withcompressed air. Sullivan says riders will pull four G’s on the trip to thetop which takes two seconds and a negative one and half G’s coming down.He says the four G’s are more than what astronauts experience on the spaceshuttle. Twelve people can take off at once. Sullivan says its a bigger rushthan riding a roller coaster. The new ride will open when the park opens this season on April 24th.
