Union members are back on the job at Fairfield’s Dexter Company. Officials from both sides say they’re glad the strike is over. Meanwhile, the strike which began April 1st at another Fairfield plant which makes metal moldings continues. Negotiators will sit down at the bargaining table May 21st–their first meeting since the strike began. A federal mediator has been asked to sit in on the discussion.
