The Drake basketball team opens a seven game tour of Barbados and theBahamas tomorrow. College basketball teams can take a foreign trip everyfour years and coach Kurt Kanaskie says the ten days of practice that teamsare allowed is beneficial come next season.Kanaskie says with no seniors on last year’s team it was a perfect time fora foreign trip.Drake opens against the Barbados National team and Kanaskie says foreignteams are usually older and very physical.The Bulldogs will be looking to improve on last year’s 10-17 record andKanaskie says this trip should help.Drake will play a total of seven games on the trip which concludes on Junefourth.
