There are a pair of new top ranked teams in the latest Radio Iowa/BaseballCoaches Association high school poll. Lisbon is off to a 9-1 start to theseason and the Lions take over as the new top ranked team in class 1A. CoachGary Stamp says experience has been a major factor early on, the Lions haveseven seniors on the roster. Iowa Valley is second in 1A, previsouly topranked Southeasst Warren falls to third. Granville Spalding is fourth andNora Springs-Rock Falls is fifth. The other new top ranked team is in class3A where perennial power Davenport Assumption takes over. Previously topranked Vinton-Shellsburg falls to second. Charles City, Perry and Oskaloosaround out the top five. Iowa Falls remains top ranked in 2A. Algona Garriganis up a spot to second. North Polk, Dyersville Deckman and Council BluffsSt. Albert are third through fifth. Des Moines Lincoln remains top ranked inclass 4A. Bettendorf is second followed by Iowa City High, Burlington andSioux City North.
