It’s a “three-peat” victory of sorts for donors to Iowa State University.Pledges and gifts to the institution are again hitting record levels inthe just-ended fiscal year.I-S-U Foundation president Tom Mitchell says for the third year in a row,donations have exceeded 100-million dollars, this year coming in at124-million-200-thousand. Mitchell says there’s no fund-raising secret togenerating the big numbers.The number of donors is also up this year — to around 52-thousand. Mitchellsays I-S-U began a fundraising campaign in July of 1995 called “CampaignDestiny” which aimed to raise 300-million dollars over five years.He says 361-million has already been raised toward the new goal.
