Texas Governor George W. Bush was greeted by a few protestors at his mid-daycampaign stop in Ames. Keith McKinney of rural Colo leads “Story CountyFarmers Against Bush.” McKinney says they’re concerned by the 30-milliondollars Bush has been able to stockpile for his campaign.Bush, a former Texas oilman, vowed in June to support the tax break ethanolnow enjoys at the gas pump. McKinney isn’t so sure he’ll follow through asBush has received one-third of his campaign money from Texans.The group plans a large protest against Bush at the Ames Strawpoll inAugust.
