The Iowa Barnstormers wrapped up the central division title Monday nightwith a 59-40 victory over the Houston Thunderbears in Arena Football Leagueaction. The victory for the Barnstormers was their fourth straight and coachJohn Gregory called it a total team effort.Iowa scored on every possession in the game and Gregory said the offense wasvery efficient.The central division title is the third for the Barnstormers and especiallygratifying after last year’s 5-9 campaign in which they missed the playoffs.Leonard Conley had three touchdowns for Iowa, including a kickoff return fora score early in the third quarter. He said coming into the season everybodyhad a good feeling about this team.Conley says the Barnstormers are playing their best at the right time.With the victory, Iowa also clinched a first round playoff game at home.
