Iowa Congressman Leonard Boswell says the president has asked the U-S Houseto increase the funding for the Veterans Administration by one billiondollars. Boswell, a veteran of Vietnam, says the additional money wouldhelp the troubled V-A health system across the country by providing suchthings as more clinics and examining rooms.Boswell, a Democrat from Davis City, has asked V-A Secretary Togo West toresign and says despite rumours, that apparently hasn’t happened.Boswell says congress would have to find areas to offset the increase infunding for the V-A budget, but he believes it’s the right thing to do.He says the V-A budget will be brought before the full house next week.
