State government computer systems which operate key services like driverslicenses are “Y-2-K” ready. Paul Carlson of the Department of Managementhas been overseeing the review to ensure state computers function when thedate changes from ’99 to double-zero.Carlson says all of state government’s “large system computer programs” are”Y-2-K” compliant.Carlson says just a few state computer programs haven’t been fully checkedfor millennium bugs. Already, state-hired programmers have converted about28-Million lines of computer code.
