Most Iowans wouldn’t dare lick a bug but a new series of postage stampsaims to make them do just that. As part of National Stamp Collection Month,the “Insects and Spiders” series of 33-centers is being released today whichis targeted toward getting kids involved in the stamp collecting hobby. The Iowa spokesman for the U-S Postal Service Rich Watkins says the bugstamps have to be licked. Kids who are interested in stamp collecting can learn more by calling888-STAMP FUN. This is also National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Watkinssays stamps that benefit breast cancer research have now brought more thaneight-million dollars to the cause.The stamps cost 40-cents each. 33-cents goes for the postage while 7-centsgoes toward breast cancer research.
