Iowa’s First Lady leaves Thursday for a trip to Japan focusing on women’sissues.Christie Vilsack will visit the Yamanashi area of Japan,which has a “sister-state” relationship with Iowa.Sixteen women and two men from Iowa will accompany Mrs. Vilsack on the trip,which concludes October 16th.
