More Iowans are being dispatched to help the southeastern U-S recover fromthe lingering effects of Hurricane Floyd. Seven state employees and 54 RedCross workers are now in, or are headed for, North Carolina and Virginia.Larry Bair is Deputy Chapter Manager for the Central Iowa Red Cross.Bair says the Red Cross teams from all over Iowa are providing food,clothing and shelter to those people who’re displaced because of thecontinued high water. The Iowa Emergency Management Division and Iowa Department of Transportationhave also sent staff members to the southeast.
