The Iowa Department of Revenue and Finance is teaming up with the InternalRevenue Service to force over 21-thousand Iowans to fork over the state taxesthey owe. Department spokeswoman Renee Mulvey says the state is sending theI-R-S a list of the people who owe state taxes. The I-R-S will match the listof people who owe, with the list of people who will get a refund. The refundmoney will be given to the state to pay the taxes. She says it’s somethingnew they’re trying.Mulvey isn’t sure how much money the state might get back.Mulvey says you will have 60 days from when you get the letter to pay yourtaxes and get taken off the I-R-S list.
