The U-S House today passed a health care reform bill. The “Norwood-Dingell” bill, as it is called, would allow patients to sue their H-M-O’s. Debate today centered on three amendments that would change the bill. During debate on the House floor Iowa congressman Greg Ganske supported the bill. Ganske, a plastic surgeon, talked about a young man named James Adams who lost his hands and feet after an H-M-O decision on his treatment.
