“Iowa, You Make me Smile” is history. State officials unveiled a new tourismtheme today in Sioux City . It’s “Iowa Come Be Our Guest.” Iowa Division of Tourism administrator Nancy Landess says the new theme wastested with about six-hundred travelers from Iowa and adjacent states. Shesays those tests showed the theme accurately reflects Iowa’s tourismopportunites.The new theme will be placed on all state-printed travel publications. Landess says state lawyers checked, and she believes “Come Be Our Guest”will NOT violate the trademark for Disney corporation’s popular song “Be OurGuest.”You may recall Governor Vilsack unveiled a new state slogan in August: “Iowa, Fields of Opportunities.”
