A fiery crash in northeastern Iowa last night killed five people. TheHighway Patrol says a grain truck was struck from behind by a passengervehicle east of Monona in Clayton County. The vehicle exploded into flames,killing the vehicle’s driver and all four passengers. No charges have been filed — the identities of the victims are stillunknown. The truck driver was not hurt. Trooper Sergeant David Garrison saysthe intensity of the fire is making it hard to identify the five victims.Garrison says it’s unclear if any children were inside the vehicle.The vehicle apparently DID have Iowa plates. The accident happened abouteight o’clock last night within a few miles of Iowa’s border with Wisconsin.
