Officials in Dubuque are trying to determine what caused a floor to collapse at a home improvement store.A 30-by-40 foot section of the floor of the Menard’s building collapsed last night and fell about 12 feet into the basement of the store. The fire department searched the building, but found no one inside. Fire officials say the store will probably be closed for a few days while the city engineer tries to figure out why cause the floor to drop.
