You’d think a person who was expecting a check for 13-thousand dollars would notice if it never came in — but some people are just too busy. The Internal Revenue Service says more than 550 Iowans were sent checks for their 1998 tax refunds — and for one reason or another, the checks were all returned to the agency. I-R-S spokeswoman Donna Migazzi says each of those Iowans is now on the “undeliverable refund list”.If you think your missing check may be among them, call the I-R-S at 800-TAX-1040 and the check can be re-issued. Magazzi says the checks to Iowans range from one-dollar to 13-thousand-480 dollars.Migazzi says in most cases, people moved and forgot to notify the I-R-S of their address change.
