A report on national education goals says Iowa remains one of the highest performing states in the nation. Iowa was among the best in the nation for drop out rates, teachers with certification and a low percentage of students who felt unsafe at school. Iowa Education Department Director Ted Stilwell says there are still things to work on.Stilwell says maintaining the level of excellance among administrators and teachers is a big problem ahead.He says the state has to adapt to meet the needs of student.The report was compiled by the National Education Goals panel and measured 61 factors in ranking educational success.
