The wife of George W-Bush wasn’t the only presidential candidate’s spouse who was campaigning in Iowa yesterday — Al Gore’s wife also made a swing through north central Iowa. Tipper Gore said her husband wants to help struggling farmers.Mrs. Gore, speaking in Mason City, said she hopes more young people get involved in the democratic process in 2000.Gore’s husband, the Vice President, is scheduled to be back in Iowa on Friday with stops in Waterloo, Davenport & Iowa City.
