The University of Iowa is looking for women to take part in the study of a new birth control pill. Researchers are looking for sexually-active women who are at least 18 years old to try the oral contraceptive. Study subjects must not be pregnant nor planning to become pregnant.U-of-I recruitment coordinator Kelly O’Berry says it’s preferred that test subjects be light smokers or non-smokers. She says the study will last well into next year and will require women to make several trips to the Iowa City campus.Women who are chosen to take part in the study will be paid both for their time and travel.
