St. Ambrose University in Davenport has gotten approval to start a nursing program — but a rival institution is trying to stop the move. The Iowa Board of Nursing has given St. Ambrose the go-ahead to start the program, and the Genesis Medical Center in Davenport has promised to support the new program. But Marycrest International University in Davenport has filed a lawsuit, trying to stop St. Ambrose. Marycrest offers its own nursing program.
