An eastern Iowa lawn care and landscaping company has found a great way to make money during a slow time of year. Instead of pushing mowers and planting flowers, the ten employees of R-J Wolfe and Sons in Davenport are climbing ladders and using bucket trucks to put up Christmas lights. Owner Rob Wolfe says he sent all of his staff to a two-week training course on Christmas light installation — which covers everything from proper wiring techniques to safety harnesses for rooftops.Wolfe says this is ordinarily a slower time of year for his business, which specializes in lawn care.Wolfe says some calls take eight hours and run between 50-dollars and several thousand dollars. A similar business is also operating in the Des Moines area.
