Iowa State University is offering farmers a free planning service to plot operations for the coming year. I-S-U economist Mike Duffy says the service provides farmers with a computer analysis of their operation. He says the analysis can be an important tool in plotting the future course of a farm operation.Duffy says this is a good time to do the analysis as farmers already need to pull all the financial records together to do their income taxes. The analysis normally costs 25 dollars, but Duffy says some special funding now makes it free.Farmers can call their local extension office to sign up.
