The City of Waterloo has recorded its first murder in more than a year. Waterloo police say an autopsy completed today confirmed that 41-year old Jerry Lee Davis died of a single gunshot wound to the stomach early Sunday morning. Davis had apparently tried to get help and was found on a neighbor’s steps. Police say the death is a homicide, but now weapon has been recovered and there are no suspects.
