The Iowa Attorney General’s office has filed a lawsuit against a Bettendorf company that sells a device it claims can make a woman’s breasts grow. Bob Brammer is a spokesman for the Attorney General. He says the device sold by New Womyn Incorporated is taking advantage of women, especially breast cancer patients.The company claims the device can help women who’ve had a mastectomy regrow breast tissue, but the company refuses to provide proof the device works. Brammer says the device costs between 25-hundred and three-thousand dollars and provides a dubious refund policy.The company offers an 18-day money back guarantee, but that means you must use the device for 18 months and meet several other requirements. He says a California woman brought the product to the attention of the Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General’s office. He say they’re not sure how many women may want their money back.Brammer says they hope the lawsuit will provide more information on the company and the device. They’re also asking to court to prohibit the company from advertising, to repay any claims for a refund and pay a 40-thousand dollar fine for each violation.The suit was filed Tuesday in Polk County District Court.
