Iowa meets the Gophers

Iowa visits Minnesota in Big Ten action tonight. The Gophers are 9-3 overall under first-year coach Dan Monson and Iowa coach Steve Alford says Monson was able to put together a schedule that was beneficial in a rebuilding year.Alford says a summer trip also benefited the Gophers.With a lack of size upfront, Minnesota’s Joe Pryzbilla (priz-bill-uh) becomes even more of a factor. Alford says he’s an inside presence and it will take a lot of work to keep him under control.
