U-N-I beat Witchita State Saturday, 66 to 54, in Missouri Valley Conference play. The Panthers led 24-23 at the half, but broke the game open in the second half. U-N-I coach Sam Weaver says his team’s 11-of-18 shooting in the second half was key to the victory. The Panthers were 23 of 27 from the charity stripe. Robbie Sieverding led U-N-I with 25 points. The Panthers play Creighton Wednesday.
