The Iowa Hawkeyes fell on the road to Purdue last night 67-59. Coach Steve Alford said it was an improvement over the 26-point loss to the Boilermakers in their first meeting in Iowa City. Alford said they didn’t take advantage of their good defensive play.Jacob Jaacks had 18 points and seven rebounds for the Hawks. Dean Oliver added 11 points and Rob Griffen 10 points. The Hawks missed six layups, which Alford said made it tough to recover.Iowa drops to 4-8 in the Big Ten and 11-13 overall.
