Iowa is getting a sizeable chunk of cash after winning a legal settlement against a maker of women’s shoes. New York-based Nine West Group was accused of forcing retailers to charge a certain rate for its shoes and wouldn’t let them cut prices. The company’s popular lines include Nine West, Easy Spirit and Enzo Angiolini. Iowa Attorney General’s spokesman Bob Brammer says several states filed the anti-trust action together. Iowa’s share of the 34-million dollars will be about 300-thousand dollars.Brammer says Iowa’s share will be put into organizations which target women’s health, education, vocational or safety programs.
