The Iowa Lottery is introducing a new on-line game as part of its 15th anniversary. Lottery Commissioner Edward Stanek says the new game is reminiscent of the original Iowa Lotto drawing, as players select six of 30 numbers. A Player who matches all six numbers wins 15-thousand dollars a year for 15 years. The game is called “Freeplay Replay” and as its name implies, players who fail to correctly pick any of the numbers win a free play. He believes giving players a free play for being inept is unique to Iowa’s new game. The new game will eventually replace the Lottery’s “Cash For Life” game. Stanek says it’s an attempt to keep players interested. The Lottery began selling the new Freeplay Replay game Sunday. The tickets cost one dollar each and the numbers are drawn each Wednesday and Saturday.
