The survey of nurse supervisors finds most feel overwhelmed — and most supervisors believe the certified nurse assistants they oversee are over-worked, too.Di Findley of the Iowa Caregivers Association says job overload was a bigger concern than pay.Findley says the licensed nurses who responded to the survey are overwhelmed by too much government-mandated paperwork.One of the supervising nurses surveyed said one nurses assistant should care for no more than seven nursing home residents. Some nursing assistants are caring for up to 40 nursing home residents today.
