The Iowa Conference baseball race opens this weekend and Wartburg will be seeking for a fourth consecutive title. The Knights already opened the league race with a doubleheader sweep of William Penn and coach Joel Holst admits his team has lofty expectations.Wartburg is off to a 15-3 start overall and Holst is pleased.Holst says as always, pitching depth will be a major factor in deciding the championship.Wartburg plays host to Loras in a doublehader tomorrow. Simpson lost out to Wartburg for the conference title last year but beat the Knights in the N-C-A-A regionals and coach John Siriani’s team entered this season Siriani belives a number of teams could be involved in the title chase.Siriani says his team has a tough opener against Upper Iowa.
