.Iowa State posted its first conference sweep since 1994. Brian Curtin and Charly Bigwood combined for an eight hitter as the Cyclones got by Kansas State 6-2 to sweep their three game big 12 series. Iowa State took the lead with a pair of runs in the first and score twice in the fifth and eighth innings to put the game away. The Cyclones are now 14-28 overall and 6-15 in the Big 12. Iowa fell at Minnesota 8-2 as the gophers swept their four game Big Ten set. Northern Iowa salvaged a 12-6 victory over Evansville in their Missouri Valley Conference series
