The northeastern Iowa town of Dyersville will be getting a new library after voters Tuesday approved a one-point-one million dollar bond referendum. Librarian Shirley Vonderhaar was pleased this vote turned out differently from two previous attempts. She says it “really shows the support of the community.” She says they moved the location to downtown and that probably helped. The bond issue passed by more than 72-percent of the vote. Vonderhaar says it’ll bring Dyersville’s library into the 21st century.Construction is expected to begin this fall with the building being complete by fall of 2001.
