A large fish kill in eastern Iowa is likely due to natural causes. Wiethorn The State Department of Natural Resources says “spawning stress” likely killed several thousand fish along the Mississippi River and at Rock Creek State Park. The kill covered about 90 miles from Dubuque to around Lansing.
