The Sioux City Explorers open a Northern League series in Sioux Falls tonight. The Explorers are 6-3 on the young season and riding a three-game winning streak. Sioux City Manager Ed Nottle says he is happy with the start.Nottle says he likes the potential of his team. He says he loves the lineup and the starting pitching.Now in its eighth year, Nottle says the Northern League continues to attract better players.Nottle says with teams in 12 states and two Canadian provinces the Northern League has become the top independent league around.
