There have been three cases of meningitis in Manchester — and health officials will hold a vaccination clinic on Monday for children in the area. State epidemiologist Dr. Patricia Quinlisk is urging parents to take advantage of the vaccinations, which will be given at the West Delaware Middle School in Manchester. Quinlisk says the goal is to quash any sort of outbreak. Quinlisk says parents need not worry about the safety of the vaccine. It costs 20-dollars per dose, but children will not be turned away if their parents are unable to pay. Two of the children stricken by meningitis are home — the other’s still in the hospital.
