Iowa City High moves into the top spot in 4-A this week after previously top ranked West Des Moines Dowling suffered three losses. West Des Moines Valley climbs four spots to second. Sioux City East is third, Cedar Rapids Washington is fourth and Dowling falls to fifth. The other top ranked teams remain the same. Oelwein is top ranked in 3-A, West Delaware is second, Vinton-Shellsburg is third and Denison-Schleswig is fourth. Oskaloosa debuts at number five in class 3-A. The Indians opened the week 14-1. Coach Emory Stewart says he had a veteran team coming into the season, but had a few question marks. He says he’s found a shortstop and developed some pitchers to handle the load.Cascade remains top ranked in 2-A. West Marshall is second, Carlisle, Center Point Urbana and Osage complete the top five. Lansing Kee remains top ranked in class 1-A, Harmony is second. Mason City Newman, Sheffield SCMT and Newell Fonda round out the top five.
