A-T-and-T Cable will make a sexually-explicit channel available to digital cable customers in Des Moines, Ames, Marshalltown, Ottumwa, Waterloo, Mason City and Davenport. Some cable operators won’t carry “The Hot Network” because it’s too racy. A-T-and-T Cable spokeswoman Debora Blume of the company’s Des Moines office says they’re responding to customer demand.Blume says it’s the fastest growing “pay-for-view” channel in the nation. The channel isn’t as explicit as x-rated video store fare, but it is a bit more racy than the cable channel Spice, which is described as “soft-porn.”Blume says AT&T’s Des Moines office hasn’t received a lot of complaints about the network. She’s received just one letter since the company announced it was going to launch the channel. Blume says that may change now that they’re moving ahead with plans to offer the network in Iowa. “The Hot Network” will be available to over a hundred thousand Iowa digital cable subscribers.
