Northeast Iowans hope to see the light next spring, as local boosters in the town of Lansing illuminate the Black Hawk Bridge over the Mississippi River. Mary Lynn Revoir of Waukon is leading the project, which she says appeared to her and her husband as a vision.The plan is to mount a light on each of the bridge’s 74 steel columns, 37 on each side. Revoir says the project will be paid for with local and state money.The project is expected to cost between 50 and 70-thousand dollars. Revoir hopes to kick off fundraising today.Revoir and her husband, Bruce, are Lansing natives.
