Republican congressional candidate Jay Marcus proposes establishing a special zone on the Internet for “adult” web sites. Marcus says it’s time for government to regulate some Internet sites, and zone them off so kids can’t gain access. He says an 11-year old in his hometown of Fairfield downloaded pornography at the library. Marcus says Internet filters can’t always distinguish between a good and bad site.Colleges have web site addresses which end with “dot-e-d-u” and businesses have web sites which end with “dot-com”. Marcus says pornographers and hate groups should register their web sites under “dot-adult”Marcus, who ran as a Natural Law party candidate in the past, is the republican facing democrat incumbent Leonard Boswell in the November election.
