UNI kicks off season tonight

The Northern Iowa Panthers open the season at home tonight against Morningside. The Panthers will be heavily favored but Coach Mike Dunbar expects Morningside to challenge the Panther’s offensive line.Dunbar says the U-N-I defense has been preparing for everything, as they don’t know what Morningside will do.Dunbar says the key will be making adjustments on the run.Morningside coach Dave Elliott says a game of this magnitude served to motivate the players during pre-season workouts.Elliott says to have any chance the Mustangs will have to play mistake-free.Elliott says no matter what happens he wants the Mustangs to be a better team after this game.
