A recreational lake in Johnson County is disappearing. Workers started draining Lake MacBride this week as part of a two million-dollar repair project. This winter, crews will dump rock along the shore to stop erosion. D-N-R biologist Paul Sleeper says it’ll improve water quality. The lake level will drop about 15 feet. The D-N-R hopes to return the water level to normal by next Memorial Day.
