The Iowa State Cyclones open at home against Ohio. Cyclone coach Dan McCarney says the Cyclone defense must stop the run. Ohio coach Jim Grobe is a product of the Air Force triple-option-offense system, and McCarney says that is the system Ohio employs.McCarney says the Cyclone defense will need to play assignment football and be great tacklers.On offense, McCarney wants to see a balanced attack.Grobe’s first game at Ohio was a loss at Iowa State back in 1995. That night Troy Davis burst onto the scene by leading the Cyclones to a come from behind win. Grobe says it will be a much different Iowa State team they play on Saturday. He says ISU is a more talented football team.
