A Scott County jail inmate got a brief taste of freedom last night. 29-year old Terrell Bloch pretended to be another inmate who was scheduled to be released on bond. The two men had similar sounding names and Bloch forged the other man’s name on release papers. Sheriff Mike Bladel says Bloch was able to get out because the automated booking system was broken down. Bladel says they didn’t have a good backup system in place to identify the inmates. Bladel says they’ve taken steps to create a better back up system.Bloch was caught a short time after getting out. Bloch was in jail on robbery and burglary charges, and now faces escape charges.
