Solon woman dies in accident

Authorities have released the name of an eastern Iowa woman killed in a two-vehicle accident.Investigators say 31-year-old Michele Kasparek of Solon was traveling north on Interstate-380 when she rear-ended a propane tanker truck. Police say the semi had slowed down for another accident. Kasparek’s two young girls are in serious condition at University of Iowa hospitals. The driver of the semi, 38-year-old Thomas Wurster of Springville, was not injured. The accident remains under investigation but no charges are pending.
