Iowa farmers now have permission to haul larger loads of grain on Iowahighways. Governor Tom Vilsack has raised the weight limit to 90-thousandpounds for grain trucks on Iowa’s highways. Ray Hansen of the Iowa CornGrowers Association says farmers will be able to haul about 170 MORE bushelsper semi-load. Hansen says it’ll be a time-saver for farmers and that somefarmers who have completed their harvesting now have to shift corn and beansfrom one storage facility to another.
