Democrats claim Republicans using questionable campaign tactics

Iowa democrats accuse Republicans of conducting controversial “push polls” but Republicans say they’re just making democrats defend their voting record. Iowa Democrat Party chairman Rob Tully says the telephone calls Republicans are making are a “total outrage.” Tulley believes there is a planned attempt by Republicans to mislead Iowans.Republicans like House Leader Christopher Rants of Sioux City say there’s nothing wrong with pointing out the voting records of the democrats who’re running for the legislature. House Speaker Brent Siegrist of Council Bluffs says voters are not being misled. He says they’re talking about issues and votes, and some candidates don’t like to have their votes talked about. Siegrist says it’s talking about the issues, not negative campaigning.
